Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Treasure Learning Platform or Services (as defined below). By accessing or using the Treasure Learning Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, including the agreement to arbitrate disputes on an individual basis. If you do not accept these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Treasure Learning Platform.
1. General Information
1.1. Scope of Terms
These Terms govern your access to and use of the website located at www.treasurelearning.com, its sub-domains, related mobile applications, and software (collectively, the “Treasure Learning Platform”). These Terms, along with the Refund and Payment Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and any service-specific terms published in the Legal Center, form a legally binding agreement between you and Treasure Learning, Inc. (“Treasure Learning,” “we,” or “us”), a corporation registered and organized under the laws of Hong Kong. By creating an account or using the Services, you enter into a legally binding contract with Treasure Learning and unconditionally accept these Terms.
1.2. Treasure Learning Services
The Treasure Learning Platform connects registered users seeking online language teaching and tutoring services (“Students”) with registered users providing such services (“Tutors”). Visitors to the Website, including the Treasure Learning Blog, are also considered Users. The Services include:
- Facilitating connections between Students and Tutors for online language tutoring.
- Processing payments between Students and Tutors.
- Providing customer support and related services.
Treasure Learning does not provide tutoring services directly; all tutoring is provided by Tutors per the service-specific terms outlined in the Legal Center. You are responsible for obtaining and paying for any equipment and Internet service required to access the Services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Treasure Learning Platform or Services at any time without notice. The Platform may also be unavailable periodically due to maintenance, technical issues, or other reasons.
1.3. Writing Package Details
Our Writing Packages are designed to enhance students’ writing skills in supported languages, suitable for personal development, academic assignments, or professional purposes. Students may submit writing pieces on topics such as:
- Treasure Learning Topics: Pre-provided topics provided upon package purchase.
- Personal School Work: Assignments, essays, or other school-related writing.
- CV Review: Resumes or curricula vitae.
- Application Essays: Personal statements for job or university applications.
Each submission must not exceed 200 words for primary school students or 400 words for high school students and above. Submissions are reviewed and returned with feedback within 7 business days. Packages include writing submissions and face-to-face online tutor review sessions (30 minutes each), scheduled at your convenience during the package duration. Below are the updated package details:
- 1-Month Trial Package
- Trial Price: HKD 1,200 (regular HKD 1,500, one-time offer)
- Submissions: Up to 5 writing pieces
- Online Face-to-Face Review: 1 session (30 minutes)
- 3-Month Standard Package
- Price: HKD 3,900
- Submissions: Up to 15 writing pieces
- Online Face-to-Face Reviews: 4 sessions (30 minutes each)
- Additional: 1 mock exam paper
- 6-Month Premium Package
- Price: HKD 7,200
- Submissions: Up to 20 writing pieces
- Online Face-to-Face Reviews: 8 sessions (30 minutes each)
- Additional: 2 mock exam papers
- Annual Subscription Package
- Price: HKD 13,500
- Submissions: Up to 40 writing pieces
- Online Face-to-Face Reviews: 16 sessions (30 minutes each)
- Additional: 4 mock exam papers
- Add-Ons
- Extra Review Session: HKD 300 (30 minutes)

1.4. Amendments to Terms
We may amend these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on the Website and notifying you via the Treasure Learning Platform or the email associated with your account for material changes. The latest version is available on this page. Continued use of the Services after amendments constitutes your consent to the updated Terms. If you disagree with the amendments, you may terminate these Terms by discontinuing use of the Services and notifying us at support@treasure-global.com or deleting your account.
2. Obligations
2.1. Services Eligibility
The Services are available only to individuals aged 18 or older who can form legally binding contracts. Users under 18 may use the Services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for all activities related to such use.
2.2. Verification
Tutors may be required to provide a government-issued ID and educational credentials for verification. Verified Tutors receive a badge on their profile, and uploaded documents are deleted after verification. Treasure Learning does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of Tutor-provided information. You assume all risks associated with interactions with other Users, and we are not liable for any claims, injuries, or damages arising from such interactions.
2.3. Consumer Reports
We may use third-party consumer reporting agencies for background checks, including criminal records, sex offender registries, or credit checks. You consent to the collection and use of such reports, understanding that we do not guarantee their accuracy. We may suspend or terminate accounts based on these reports or other reasons at our discretion.
2.4. Privacy
Your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy. You may use the Platform without providing personally identifiable information, but certain Services require data submission.
2.5. Payment
Payments are processed by third-party processors (e.g., Hang Seng Bank) to bill Students and enable Tutor payouts. Payments made through the Platform satisfy Students’ obligations to Tutors. Refer to the Refund and Payment Policy for additional terms.
2.6. Refunds
Refunds are handled per the Refund and Payment Policy and are at our sole discretion.
3. Rights and Limits
3.1. Your Right to Use the Platform
- Students: You are granted a non-transferable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, limited right to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Tutors: You are granted a similar right to provide tutoring services to Students. You may not use automated means (e.g., bots, scrapers) to access content, engage Tutors for unauthorized purposes, or violate academic honesty policies. Treasure Learning materials may not be reproduced without permission.
3.2. Your Account
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and notifying us immediately of unauthorized use. You may not create multiple accounts, share credentials, or transfer accounts. We may collect personal data during account creation, including via third-party services (e.g., Google, Facebook). Tutors must provide a profile photo and video introduction; Students may optionally provide a photo.
3.3. Direct Interactions
We do not participate in direct Student-Tutor interactions unless necessary to ensure compliance, improve Services, or address issues per the Refund and Payment Policy. We are not responsible for Tutor services, Student reviews, or User actions.
3.4. Representations and Warranties
- Tutors: You must provide services per these Terms and applicable laws, maintain valid credentials, and not solicit payments outside the Platform.
- Students: You must honor commitments to Tutors, not manipulate fees, and interact in good faith.
3.5. Tutors’ Introduction Video and Profile Photo
Tutors grant us rights to use their introduction video, name, and profile photo for marketing purposes. You may request removal of published videos by emailing support@treasure-global.com
3.6. Tutors’ Ranking
Tutor rankings are based on factors like subject, Student preferences, availability, performance, and reviews.
3.7. User Complaints
Submit complaints to support@treasure-global.com with “Formal Complaint” in the subject line. We will investigate and respond with findings or solutions.
3.8. Lesson Recording
We may record lessons for quality assurance, with your consent. Recordings are not shared externally. Opt out or request removal by emailing support@treasure-global.com
3.9. Referral Program
Students and Tutors may refer new Users with a referral link, entitling Referees to a discount and Referrers to credits or bonuses. Credits expire after 180 days of inactivity.
3.10. Limits
You must abide by the User Code of Conduct.
4. Treasure Learning Content
Treasure Learning Content (text, images, data, etc.) is for personal use only and may not be reproduced or modified without permission. We may update Content without notice.
5. User-Generated Content
You are responsible for User-generated Content (comments, feedback, etc.). We may monitor, edit, or remove such content but are not liable for it. Report intellectual property infringements to support@treasure-global.com.
6. Links to Third-Party Websites
We are not responsible for third-party websites linked on the Platform. Use them at your own risk.
7. Advertisement
We may display third-party ads. Your dealings with advertisers are at your own risk.
8. No Implied Endorsements
References to third parties or products do not imply endorsement by Treasure Learning.
9. Relations Between Treasure Learning and Users
We are a technology platform, not a tutoring provider or employer. Tutors and Students are independent contractors responsible for their own taxes and compliance.
10. Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent.
11. Feedback
Feedback you provide may be used by us without compensation or restriction.
12. Reviews
Tutors may be rated by Students. We do not censor reviews unless reported but are not liable for them.
13. Notifications
We communicate via email, mail, or Platform postings. Keep your email updated and check the Website regularly.
14. Termination
We may terminate User access at our discretion, with or without notice, and withhold funds for breaches. Accounts inactive for 180 days may be suspended, and balances will expire.
15. Intellectual Property Rights
All Platform content is owned by Treasure Learning or its licensors and protected by law. You may not copy or use it without permission.
16. Copyright Infringement (DMCA)
Report copyright infringements to support@treasure-global.com with required details. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
17. Confidentiality
You must keep Confidential Information (e.g., User data) secure and not disclose it without permission.
18. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Platform and Services are provided “as is.” We do not warrant accuracy, functionality, or Tutor qualifications. Use at your own risk.
19. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amounts paid for Services in the prior three months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Claims must be brought individually, not as class actions.
20. Exclusions
Some jurisdictions may not allow certain warranty or liability exclusions.
21. International
Users outside Hong Kong are responsible for local law compliance. The Platform may reference Hong Kong-specific products.
22. Export Control
You may not export Services in violation of Hong Kong law.
23. Liquidated Damages
Funds withheld under Section 14 are liquidated damages for breaches, not penalties.
24. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Treasure Learning against claims arising from your use of the Services.
25. Dispute Resolution
Disputes are resolved by individual arbitration in Hong Kong. Costs are shared equally, with exceptions for prevailing parties or prohibitive arbitration costs.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Hong Kong law.
27. Non-Solicitation
You may not solicit Users for other purposes without our consent.
28. Headings
Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
29. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with related policies, constitute the entire agreement. Unenforceable provisions are severable.

Refund and Payment Policy

This Refund and Payment Policy governs your purchases and payments for lessons, group classes, and Writing Packages on the Treasure Learning Platform. Please read it carefully before making a payment, as it outlines your rights, restrictions, and exclusions.
1. Tutor-Student Transactions
Treasure Learning facilitates tutoring contracts but is not a party to them. We are not responsible for monitoring transactions or Tutor-provided services.
2. Billing Currency and Foreign Exchange Risk
Payments are processed in USD or HKD. Prices in other currencies are indicative, and international transaction or exchange fees may apply. Contact your bank for details. We are not responsible for such fees or currency fluctuations.
3.1. Treasure Learning Commission
Tutors are charged a service fee per lesson, as indicated on the Platform. We may change this fee with prior notice.
3.2. Processing Fee
Students pay a non-refundable processing fee (8-10% of the purchase amount) per transaction, displayed at checkout. Fees may change with notice.
4.1. Refunds
Submit refund requests to support@treasure-global.com. Refunds are at our discretion and not guaranteed, especially for missed or canceled lessons. We do not cover bank or third-party fees. Refund speed depends on your bank’s policies.
4.2. Refund Procedure
Email support@treasure-global.com with:
- Lesson date and time
- Reason for refund
- Tutor’s name
Decisions are made within 30 calendar days.
4.3. Package Refund Terms
- 1-Month Package: Non-refundable.
- 3-Month Package: Refundable only if usage does not exceed 1-Month Package limits, limited to the price difference.
- 6-Month Package: Refundable only if usage does not exceed 3-Month Package limits, limited to the price difference.
- Annual Subscription Package: Refundable only if usage does not exceed 6-Month Package limits, limited to the price difference.
4.4. Refund Eligibility
Requests must be submitted within 30 days of payment. Refunds are reviewed case-by-case and limited to price differences between packages.
5. Trial Lessons
If a trial lesson does not occur, request a free trial with another Tutor or a refund within 30 days. Follow the refund procedure.
6.1. Chargebacks
Chargebacks may result in account suspension. You are responsible for related fees.
6.2. Expired Account
Accounts inactive for 180 days are suspended, and balances expire.
6.3. Deletion of an Account
Deleting your account or termination for policy breaches results in balance expiration without refund.
6.4. Payment Services
Payments are processed by third-party providers (https://soepay.com/.) We do not store billing information. Transactions use SSL encryption.
7. Data Provided by You
Billing information is processed by third parties, subject to their terms and privacy policies. We may change processors with secure data transfer.
8.1. Payments
Available methods: Online Bank Transfer, FPS (region-dependent). Students cover transaction fees.
8.2. Payouts
Tutors receive payments per confirmed lesson, net of transaction fees. EU Tutors must provide annual tax information per DAC7 Directive.
Teacher Code of Conduct

Our Teachers are selected through a rigorous vetting and interview process to ensure they are passionate educators committed to student success. We expect Teachers to:
- Be Responsive: Promptly respond to Student messages.
- Manage Calendar and Profile: Keep availability updated and adjust profiles during breaks.
- Respect Privacy: Do not request personal information (e.g., birth dates, IDs).
- Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer balanced, helpful feedback.
- Attend Lessons Promptly: Attend all scheduled lessons, contact first-time Students, and start lessons despite Student tardiness (without compensating for lost time).

Treasure Learning is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.
General
You may browse the Platform without registering. Limited Services are available without personal data, but we collect log information and use cookies (opt-out available except for essential cookies). Registered Users provide data like name, email, and optional details. Tutors provide additional information (e.g., qualifications). We may update this Policy, with significant changes notified via email.

Personal data identifies you. Processing includes collection, storage, or disclosure.
2. Lawful Bases
We process data based on consent, contractual necessity, legal compliance, or legitimate interests (e.g., fraud prevention).
3. Data Collected
Includes account details, service use, cookies, billing information, and sensitive data (with consent).
4. Purposes
Data is used to provide Services, process payments, communicate, analyze usage, verify Tutors, and comply with laws.
5. Data Sharing

Data is stored as needed and deleted within 90 days of account expiration (after 2 years of inactivity).

We ensure secure cross-border transfers, protect data, restrict Services for children under 13, and notify of breaches.
