Hi! My name is Teacher Rachel. I was born in America but moved to Hong Kong when I was young and have been teaching kids and adults English for the past 25 years both face to face and online! I love listening to music, going on hikes, learning new languages, and reading books but my favorite thing to do is spending time with my 5 year old daughter Isabella!

🌈 I teach phonics, creative writing, and conversational English to Kids aged 5 to 12
🌈 I teach Wonders curriculum focusing on reading , comprehension and fundamental writing elements for ages 9 and above.
🌈 I teach adults Conversational classes as well as prep for BEC exams
🌈 I am TESOL Certified with 120 hours
🌈 I have been Registered with the Hong Kong Education Department as a Permitted Teacher.
🌈 I use songs, games, stories, and props to keep children fully engaged the whole class whether 25 minutes or 50 minutes!
🌈 I use Whole Brain Learning for all classes!
🌈 You can see confidence gained in only 1 lesson!
🌈 I am stable, Committed, Experienced, and Reliable - My current students have stayed with me from 4 to 10 years already!

⭐️Teach 44 American phonics' sounds
⭐️ Level 1 - 5 year olds (sounds only ) / Level 2 - 5/6 years and up (sounds, blending, and reading )
⭐️ Once learned Level 2, your child will be able to read independently on their own
⭐️ Course duration is dependant upon child's learning , however with 2 to 3 classes a week, most children can finish in approximately 40 to 60 lessons of 30 minutes each.

⭐️Step 1 - For dependant readers, at the beginning, they will have 25 decodable reading passages with pictures with many sight words included.
⭐️ Step 2 - For Guided reading , children will have many small passages with text based multiple choice questions, labeling activities, fill in the blank questions and sentences with writing prompts .
⭐️ Step 3 - Using RAZ (reading A to Z ) curriculum as well as Wonders for grades 1 to 6, children will not only further improve their reading skills but also improve in their vocabulary and comprehension skills as well.

⭐️ Use fun, engaging songs , games, props , and worksheets to keep a child's attention in a fun, learning environment .

⭐️ Learn the process of how to understand and comprehend text,
⭐️ Learn the how to's to the writing process - finding main ideas and key details, mind mapping, and steps to writing a good summary starting from Kindergarten level to P6.
⭐️ Learn 8 parts of speech and how to identify each one in any sentence as well as how to use all 8 parts of speech to improve the quality of sentences written .
